A cast copper alloy double looped asymmetrical buckle. The buckle frame has one almost rectangular loop, the other loop is rounded. The rounded edge of the frame has four engraved oblique lines on the outer edge. The pin is missing and there is no recess. The buckle is a greenish-grey in colour. This type of buckle dates to circa 1575 - 1700. A parallel can be seen in Whitehead, 2003, pages: 91 ref: 572.
