A copper-alloy harness or belt mount of post-medieval date. The plate takes the form of an elongated flower head of symmetrical design. The centre of the flower is marked by a raised sub-square boss and there is a single horizontal moulded petal either side of this. Seven moulded petals extend outwards either side of the central band; they increase in length towards the centre, where there is an extended petal with an attached lobe (missing at one end). The mount is not flat, but bent slightly upwards either side of the central band. On the reverse are two inwards facing integral rivets, located one at each end; only one of these rivets survives intact. The surface of the mount has traces of a black substance, which may be a corroded tinning or silvering. The object measures 28.8mm long, by 16.2mm wide and 8.1mm thick; the weight is 5.12g.
