Long iron nail, probably left over from funerary pyre and buried with the ashes and bones. It is much corroded but seems to have a long square-sectioned shaft and a flat circular head of smaller diameter.

Like the other iron nails and vessel fragments recorded from the 'Maryport area', this one was also found close to Roman sherds and cremated bone.
