Short iron nail, probably left over from funerary pyre and buried with the ashes and bones. It is much corroded but seems to have a square-sectioned shaft and a flat circular or bulbous head.

Like the other iron nails and vessel fragments recorded from the 'Maryport area', this one was also found close to Roman sherds and cremated bone.
