Cast lead object, apparently with a thin section, its surface covered with fine ribs or grooves (as this object can now only be described from the drawing some features are open to doubt). It was described as the 'Lower half of a lead figurine, most probably a toy. Skirt very pleated'. An examination of works on lead toys (Forsyth and Egan 2005) and pilgrim badges (Spencer 1998) failed to find any parallels and it is possible that it represents the remains of one of the so called 'bird feeders' (these are too narrow and deep to have allowed a bird to feed or drink). A post Medieval date is likely.
