Copper alloy tap top from a barrel or other vessel. The top of the tap is in the form of three openwork rings arranged in a trefoil. This section is flat with file marks on each side. In the centre of the three rings on one side is a maker's mark in the form of a crescent moon with a face, facing left. The lower section is cylindrical, tapering slightly to the bottom. There is a cylindrical hole bored through the middle of this section from front to back.
