Cast lead alloy spindle whorl. Circular disc with central circular perforation (diameter 9.5-9.9mm). The disc thickens slightly towards the inner edge (biconical). Both surfaces are decorated with six prominent raised inwardly pointing triangles with a transverse line and one small pellet in the channels between. Diameter 30.5mm, thickness across raised triangles 8.4-9.0mm, thickness between triangles c.2mm (outer edge) - c.5mm (inner edge), weight 27.44g. Likely to be Early Medieval considering the date of the majority of other finds from the site.
