A base sherd from a wheel-made jug of seventeenth century date. The jug had a splayed base and was glazed internally and externally with a brown lead glaze. The sandy earthenware fabric has oxidised surfaces and a slightly reduced core. This sherd is probably a south Somerset product, from Donyatt or a nearby production centre. Dimensions: 43.97mm by 35.74mm by 16.25mm Weight: 14.67g
