Denarius of Severus Alexander, a contemporary cast forgery apparently in low grade silver but may be base metal. Fabric porous, coin fragile and incomplete, condition very poor, surface scratched and legends almost illegible. 18mm in diameter. Date: 226-8 Mint: Rome (for prototype) Ref: cf.RIC 53, 61 or 73
