A copper-alloy sheet from a medieval double-sheeted composite strap end. The sheet has one straight end and one end that is rounded with forward protruding outside edges. A single rivet remains in the centre of this end. Similar examples are illustrated in Egan and Pritchard (1991, 147; 699-701). Excavated examples of such composite strap ends date from circa 1270 to 1400.
