FLAKE

Unique ID: GAT-DDCB03

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Primary flake from a probable beach pebble. The flake does not appear to have been retouched to any great extent, but has been removed from a nodule of flint, probably a beach pebble. The bulb of percussion is clearly evident on the ventral face, the dorsal face is largely comprised of cortex. It may be of Mesolithic date due to the context – it was found at Trwyn Du, Aberffraw, and another flint flake/blade was recovered at the same time.
