Medieval copper alloy key, 33mm long, 12mm wide and 4mm thick. The key is in a fair condition with a green patina and weighs 3.95 grams. It is quite worn and consists of a circular suspension loop which has a hole worn through it, giving it a crescent shape. It has a sub circular shaft which tapers slightly and terminates with a rectangular protruding bit. This has one rectangular nick (or cleft) out of the centre of its upper and lower surface.
