A fragment of a copper-alloy wide-cuff bracelet of probable 1st or 2nd century AD date (I.M. Stead and V.Rigby; 1986; p. 125). The piece represents the terminal of a broad flat bracelet, with incised decoration on the upper surface. The squared-off terminal is decorated with an incised or punched design comprised of four petals around a central ring and dot, with a further four ring and dots marks - one on each corner. The main part of the bracelet has a central band of decoration, which consists of a central horizontal void, an inner pair of plain lines and an outer pair of ropework borders. The inner surface of the bracelet is plain. The fragment measures 36.8mm long by 15.5mm wide and 1.2mm thick. The weight is 2.92g.
