Notes:

Although this artefact does indeed date to the Early Medieval Period, coins such as these were brought in great numbers to Britain over the last two centuries as souvenirs, some of which have subsequently been lost only to be re-excavated in the present day as archaeological artefacts. Therefore, although the object dates to 866-912, it’s archaeologically context is no more than 150 years old.
