Fragment of an Auscissa or Hod Hill Roman brooch. The bow curves and tapers towards the missing foot. The axis bar is broken and the hinged pin is missing. The plate at the head is flat and narrows slightly towards a pair of cross-mouldings at the top of the bow. The catchplate missing. The brooch is heavily worn and abraded.
