A crude waste flint flake, dating from probably the Palaeolithic to Mesolithic period (circa 40000 - 3500 BC). The flake has broken off below the striking platform and the bulb of percussion. Some retouch is evident on the edges. 5% nature cortex survives. The flint flake has an all over white patina, suggesting an earlier date.
