Medieval lead alloy pilgrims ampulla, 50mm long, 35mm wide and 11mm thick. The ampulla is in good condition with a grey patina and weighs 48.84 grams. The ampulla is formed of a rounded base shaped to resemble a scallop shell, with radiating ridges on one side. The other side has a flat surface and is decorated with a shield motif which contains a thick diagonal cross and there is a possible sword above this? The neck is a trapezoidal in form and has an intact loop, 11mm long, on each side.
