A cast copper alloy strap end of medieval date. The object is trapezoidal in shape and formed of two pieces of sheet copper alloy with separate side strips between them. The attachment edge has two V shaped notches. There is a single central copper alloy rivet at the attachment end. The object is undecorated but has several scratches on the surface. The metal surface is worn and has a mid yellowy-green patina. The object has been coated in some kind of lacquer. Similar strapends are illustrated in Egan 1991, page 137.
