Medieval? copper alloy saddle pommel, 56.5mm long, 30.6mm wide and 1.7mm thick. The object is in good condition with a green patina and a weight of 29.2 grams. The object has a semi circular form with a semi-spheriacl upper edge. Its sides are straight and it has a steeply angled base which protrudes from the rest of the object. It is decorated with an incised border about 2mm from its edge, within which is a series of straight incised lines running the length of the object which converge in the narrow base. In this area it has two complete fixing holes drilled through it and two incomplete holes in its edge.
