Late Medieval/early Post Medieval copper alloy purse bar, 46mm long and 3mm in diameter. The object is in fair condition with a pale brown patina and weighs 8.13 grams. The object represents half of a purse bar. It has a broken central loop, 7mm wide, which was sub rectangular in form with a circular hole. This is attached to a plain circular sectioned shaft which is 3mm in diameter and 30mm long. The object terminates with a circular knop, 8mm deep and 11mm in diameter, which has a linear depression running along its outer side, resembling a screw head.
