A fragment of a cast copper alloy annular brooch dating to the thirteenth or fourteenth centuries AD. The fragment comprises less than half of the sub-circular frame. The frame is octagonal internally, and possesses two pairs of collets filled with a white substance. The collets are flanked by two rectangular panels each decorated with four circular depressions and a small triangular extension. The fragment measures 29mm in length. The frame has a width of 3mm. The collets have a height of 8mm.

Rob Webley has pointed out that there is a good parallel to this brooch from Meols (Griffiths et al. 2007, p. 147, no. 1731).
