Large copper alloy Anglo-Saxon pin. The pin has a globular decorated head covered with the ring and dot motif. The top of the pinhead is flattened with a central ring and dot. The shaft has a 'V' shaped bend about half way down and the sharp tip of the pin is bent again. The pin weighs 5.8g and measures 48.7mm in length, 9.9mm in width (across the pin head).
