Roman copper-alloy snake bracelet fragment. It is 59mm long, 9mm wide and 3mm thick. It is rectangular in section with a slightly curved upper surface. It is bordered along its edges with a linear depression which is crossed at right angles by a series of short incised lines. One terminal is present and is decorated with a stylised moulded snake head; the front section of which is bordered by a line of raised spheres. Just behind the snake head on the band of the bracelet is an area of incised criss-crossed decoration. The object is in good condition with a pale brown patina and weighs 12.89 grams.
