Middle Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy stylus, circular-section shaft hipped at a point one-third of its length from the point. A slight collar separates the expanded eraser from the shaft. The eraser bears a triangular panel of interlace decoration in the style typical of the eighth century. Some damage has occurred to its spatulate end.
