A complete pair of copper alloy tweezers, with a form characteristic of the middle Saxon period. Each of the tweezer's arms is rectangular in section and flattens and flairs to form a triangular plate, the terminals of which are bent inwards. Both arms are decorated with marginal grooves and irregular lines of incised dots are also visible. The tweezers are in very good condition with very little evidence of corrosion or damage. The tweezers have a length of 44mm. Each arm has a maximum width of 13mm. Similar tweezers can be seen in MacGregor and Bolick, 1993, pp222-6, ref: 38.13-38.18.
