Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

A rim fragment of a sheet copper-alloy vessel most likely to be of medieval or post medieval date. This fragment is now distorted and flattened and measures 100.9mm in length and 35.9mm in depth. There is a circular hole through the fragment near to the rim, it measures c5mm in diameter and has been created by being puched through from one face. One face has a dark green patina and the other a blacker patina which may be due to the vessel being used in an open fire.
