Medieval copper alloy double oval buckle frame with damaged axis bar and missing its pin. there is a projection from the frame at either end of the axis bar.
It is 35mm in length and 25mm wide. The internal dimensions of each loop is c. 12x17.5mm. The buckle weighs 5.91g.
Similar examples in Egan's Dress Accessories, 1991, are dated from 1270-1400.
