A flat and hexagonal copper alloy coin weigh, known as a ‘hexagonal flans type’. The obverse surface of the coin weight depicts a ship. The reverse is blank. These coin weights are Anglo-gallic or French and date from the 15th – 16th centuries. The weight is in a poor condition, with a pitted, dark brownish-green surface.
