Body sherd with bung-hole from a ceramic vessel of Late Medieval date, probably the second half of the fifteenth century (AD 1450 – AD 1500). Length 52mm, width 65mm and maximum thickness 20mm. Weight 52.10g. The circular hole in the protruding bung is incomplete and its diameter, prior to being broken, would have been about 18mm. The coarse fabric is grey coloured with a reddish grey hue on the outer surface (Munsell Color 5YR 5/2). It is heavily tempered with medium/fine white sand.
