TOKEN

Unique ID: SUSS-257404

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

A cast lead token. The token is flat and circular. The obverse of the token depicts a cross hatched design. Four lines in high relief go one way and one bolder line crosses over the top on them through the centre of the token. The reverse is blank. The token is in a good condition and the edges of the token are only slightly damaged. The lead has gone a dark silvery-grey colour. Due to a lack of excavated examples these tokens can only be loosely dated from between circa 1250 – 1850 AD.
