Post Medieval Hinge of possible sugar tongs in silvery grey alloy. Round housing decorated with moulded ring on both faces. Springing of both parts of handle and the two "blades" decorated with a rounded lobe and round blind hole on both faces (one springing is entirely missing). Only of the four elements survives beyond the springing; part of a very delicate arm curving in two directions. Whether this is a handle or "blade" is uncertain. Cf. a "blade" from Burgh Castle (HER 22344). Diameter of housing 13.5mm, thickness 3.5mm. Probably 18th century.
