Key (locking), probably for casket. Similar to smaller example in EAA 58, 1993, 162, fig.120. no. 1311 but with slightly more elaborate bit. Traces of tinning or silvering. Circular bow with central groove on one side, moulded step to oval sectioned stem. Stem thins and projects 8mm beyond bit. External diameter of bow 12mm, total length 53mm, bit 11 x 11mm. 13th – 14th century.
