The two sherds are base fragments, from two different vessels. The sherds' fabric is quite soft, with a slightly powdery surface. They have a light orange coloured surface with a mid grey coloured core. There are occasional small voids within the fabric. The sherds are slightly abraded, and weigh 58.9g. The sherds are probably made from Severn Valley Ware, which date to the 2nd to 4th centuries (Webster, P 1976 'Severn Valley Ware: A Preliminary Study' Transactions of the Bristol and Gloucestershire Archaeological Society Vol. 94).
