The sherd is a rim sherd of a vessel which has been wheel made. The rim forms a wide horizontal plate form, and is broken at he wall, but the angle of the wall suggest a curvaceous neck to the vessel. The fabric is a mid grey colour, with frequent small angular grey grits. The fabric is quite soft. The sherd is likely to date to the Roman period, is perhaps Malvernian Ware, which dated to the 2nd to 4th centuries. www.worcestershireceramics.org
