Incomplete Medieval gilt unidentified object, perhaps a binding from furniture, superficially similar to a balance, very corroded, bent and broken, rectangular-sectioned (6 x 3mm) horizontal bar with possible stylised animal-head terminal with horizontal break or split below, other end of bar missing (length >66mm), integral rivet at base of oval-sectioned vertical shank (length including rivet 20mm) inserted into expanded centre of bar. 12th-13th century.
