A Mesolithic (probably) flint flake (8,300-4,500BC). The flake is a secondary flake with approximately 10% cortex remaining on the dorsal surface. Also on the dorsal surface there are two flake removal scars. Fine retouch has been worked unifacially from the dorsal surface 11.19mm along the right edge starting at the tip. The retouch may have extended further but damage has removed a section of the edge. The butt is also damaged and the bulb of percussion is no longer present. Orange brown flint with an opaque white patina beginning to form on the ventral surface. Dimensions: length: 33.77mm; width: 16.09mm; thickness: 3.73mm; weight: 1.87g.
