A rim sherd probably from jar or pot dating to the late Iron Age or Roman periods. The fabric is a dark grey shelly ware with frequent inclusions, possibly naturally occurring rather than tempered. The rim is ledged and everted. The diameter of the complete vessel at the ridge would have been approximately 200mm.
