Hooked fastener (hook-and-eye type) made from two lengths of copper alloy wire hammered together and folded over at the point of the hook. They run parallel along the U-shaped hook up to the fastening end, where they split to form two loops for stitching, bent in opposite directions. The wire is roughly rectangular in section.
