One face is moulded and the opposite face is flat and plain. The moulded face, in plan, resembles an incomplete spearhead with old breaks at the pointed (sharper end) and also at the “tang” end. It has a longitudinal raised mid-rib which tapers from the base of the “blade” towards the broken tip. On either side of the mid-rib, midway between the rib and the outer edge, is a groove. Each groove lies parallel to the mid-rib. Integral with the mid-rib, is a projecting “tang” which has vertical sides, a convex front and a flat reverse. About mid-way along the length of the tang is a raised circular feature which is possibly un-fettled sprue. The object is in good condition, the metal is reddish brown and has a patchy light green patina.
