A copper-alloy loop from a late 15th to early 16th century purse bar. The object is sub-oval, tapering towards the bottom, where there is a remnant of the circular-section bar. The loop itself is roughly hemispherical in section, with a flat inner surface and convex outer edge. It measures 29.4mm high by 17.8mm wide and 5mm thick and weighs 3.68g. It is heavily corroded.
