Copper alloy vessel leg. Such vessel legs can date from the 14th-17th Century, however this example is probably of Medieval date. The leg is broken off at the top and is generally triangular in section. The upper section has straight sides. The reverse is flat and there is a wide rounded longitudinal ridge at the junction of the other two sides. Either side of this ridge there is a slight longitudinal groove. Beneath this section there is a raised lateral ridge around the two sides with moulded decoration. Beneath this the object expands to form the foot. Again the reverse is flat. The other two surfaces are heavily worn, but are this time divided into five longitudinal rounded ridges, one in the centre where they meet, and two either side, separated by longitudinal grooves. One side of this section is badly worn. The bottom of the foot is flat.
