A vessica-shaped lead seal matrix of probable mid to late 13th century AD date. The object is heavily worn and corroded and is crudely-made. The central image depicts a fleur-de-lys and the legend around the outside appears to read: + S'EL.......FRICA. On the reverse, a central rib terminates at the top in a lug handle with a central hole. The object measures 34mm high by 21.5mm wide and 5.4mm thick. The weight of the object is 17g.
