A sherd of pottery which possibly formed part of the base of a 17th or 18th century dish. A design was created using a white slip and the dish was then glazed with a transparent light greenish-brown glaze. Although the sherd has one right-angled corner, it appears to be too thin to be a floor tile. Once broken, the dish might have been cut to form a piece of pottery of a certain shape.
