A cast cooper alloy unidentifiable object, which is undatable. The object has been formed from one solid piece of copper alloy, but has three loops soldered to the surface of the main part of the object. The object is basically a cylindrical shaped tube of copper alloy, with rounded terminals. The three loops have been soldered to the surface of the cylinder approximately 2-3mm in from one of the terminals (it is unclear if this is the top of the object or the bottom). One of the loops is bent and a crack has appeared where the loop joins the main body of the object. If that loop is positioned at 12 o’ clock, the other two loops are positioned at 4 and 8 o’ clock. The main body of the object has been decorated with transverse rows of incised dots. There are two lines of dots above and below the loop and there is a further set of two dotted lines about 5-6mm away from the opposite terminal. There is no other decoration on the object. The metal is a dark brownish-green and is very smooth; much of the original surface still survives, although some pitting has occurred on the surface.
