A tin and lead-alloy case or canister shot of Post-Medieval - Modern date. Possibly First World War (WWI).

The canister is circular in plan. It has a wider base that the top, with sloping sides. There is a raised, cast diamond pattern on the surface, creating left and right spirals. At the bottom there is a thickened lower rim with two circumferenctial ridges. The top and bottom are open. The canister weighs 3.71
The lead shot was found inside the canister.
