Copper alloy badge fragment. Two cast seriffed letters in modern style: M T. from an openwork military badge, as suggested by the finder. Peter Charles Hart kindly identifies this as a shoulder title of the Army Service Corps Motor Transport Company dated to 1914- 1918, citing Collecting Metal Shoulder Titles by R.A. Westlake, page 39 no. 459. He notes that the size of this badge suggests it was for wear on the greatcoat. Suggested date: Modern, 1914-1918
