A complete lead weight probably dating to the Medieval to Post Medieval period (c. AD 1200-1700). The object is oval in plan with a casting seam down one long side. There is a central, sub-circular suspension hole which is slightly wider at one end than the other. The upper edge of one side has been flattened slightly. The object is undecorated and has a mid-grey patina.
Comparable examples recorded on the PAS database include: BH-A9CE0E; BH-A9EF85; and WMID-1F5789 and all suggest the use as a possible line or net weight.
The overall dimensions are as follows: 36mm in length, 22mm in diameter and 46.2g in weight.
