A cast copper alloy object, possibly a strap end of medieval date. The object is 32.1mm in length and tapers from a trapezoidal rear end with rectangular cross section through a bevelled section with trapezoidal section to a broken terminal which has small flanking lobes and may have been zoomorphic in form. There is a single remaining rivet hole at the rear end which has traces of a rusted iron rivet. The rear portion has a worn incised linear border with transverse lines at the rear end. The reverse is flat with a patch of iron concretion at the front end.
