Four struck flakes, one is a simple flake tool.
The three struck flakes are hard hammer struck, all are secondary with patches of cortex extant to the dorsal faces, all are of pale grey flint with darker and lighter inclusions within the flint, none are retouched though the thinner edges are recently damaged.
The last flake is secondary, soft hammer struck and very flat in profile, of very similar colour to the others, a patch of cortex remains to the distal end on the dorsal face, this is interrupted by a steeply retouched, semi-circular notch to one side c. 15 mm diameter and may have been used for scraping the bark off tree shoots/straight thin branches used to produce arrow shafts or similar.
Given the general area was used for the extraction and production of flint to make axes, these flakes are likely to be Neolithic, 4,000 to 2,350 BC.
