Fragment of a modern ceramic vessel, possibly a cup or sugar bowl dating post 1894AD. The fragment is a lead glazed redware.  The exterior is decorated with enamelled dots and gilt banding which has been over painted.  The enamel is now lost but may have been either off-white or pale blue originally.  This design is known as Greek Border and was registered in 1894 by Gibson and Sons Limited of Burslem, Staffordshire.
